Comfort Zones
"Nothing great ever came from comfort zones."
It's been quite some time since I have written a post, but don't worry I am still alive and breathing. In fact, I have been exploring and going out of my comfort zone in a lot of aspects of my life. For starters, I just begun the Fall semester at my new university. I'll be honest, these past few weeks I have been nervous for this new transition, new school, new environment, everything is just brand new to me. But fortunately, I have had the best support from a new very close friend, as well as some awesome people welcoming me with no hesitation. It has been a very hectic week for me getting accustomed to the new campus, but nonetheless, I am excited to finally engage in courses that were not offered at my previous institution.Another part of my life that I have recently regained passion and focus in is my online business. Something I tend to keep private to myself, I am an owner and founder of a dress company and recently revamped my website, along with the entire image of the brand. I am in the process of directing and planning various shoots for the brand, which I am very excited to share in the upcoming weeks! I have also been working on getting my products into wholesale and working on consignment contracts with shops throughout multiple rinks in Southern California. A lot of this required me to go out of my comfort zone from maintaining my normal "college life" adventures this summer so that I could focus on something that would help me (financially) in the future. These small changes in my daily routine has continuously pushed me out of my comfort zone. Over the summer, I also pushed myself to wake up at earlier times, especially when I did not have to. I created a daily routine to wake up and start my day by 8AM, have some sort of breakfast meal, and set goals I wanted to accomplish for each day and week.Stepping out of your comfort zone can be very difficult and a long process, but worthwhile if you are seeking improvement and positive change in your life. Not only will great change occur, but you will also find strength independently.Don't wait for the "right time". The time is now, step out of your comfort zone.xx
